hey there people
Just wanted to let you know that due to a much tighter and restrictive computer policy where I work, I have no more admin rights on my PC and therefore haven't been able to install my favorite simulator (Dirk's) on my pc.....YET. (Yes i do most of my posting, decoding etc...from my work computer....shame on me...lol).
I know there are online simulators but they fall in the category :" Is this site really work related..kind of questions".
So, I'll do what I can (I'll probably bore the IT dept to death with endless useless mails about udating such and such and maybe it's last words will be the admin password) but untill then....

I wonder why you would need admin rights to install the emulator, guess they just clamp it down to make sure you stay working. Personally I don't like to install anything to start with and don't run windoze so I can't even test it (well, I did test it under wine, worked ok) I guess one option (besides get your own computer or buying a physical version - see meinenigma.com/enigma-simulators/ for options ) would be to download the javascript one and then run it locally.

It should work without installation. Just copy the installed files and go. (I have them for you if you like) There could be an issue with registering some *.ocx files however. This requires admin rights.

This requires admin rights. A while ago, I asked on this forum about Dirk's Atomix install files which are gone from his site and someone kindly made me a custom Atomix folder that makes it portable. if you think that just copying the files would work i am willing to try...so if you find the time to send me the files, I will give it a shot.

Dear Arnaud,
I've send you all the simulators I have (as portable app - without the instller files) through we transfer. Just unzip and you can run them. At least thats how it works for me. Hope it works for you as well.
With kind regards,
ZZ9pZa

Arnaud The Atomix binaries came from me. Somehow I managed to locate and install a copy of Visual Basic 6.0 and compile Atomix. ZZ9pZa Can we have the binaries for all the simulators that you have in a discreet location (google Drive?)
