On Saturday, April the 12th, the Enigma World Code Group, together with our partner station at Bletchley Park in England, GB3RS, will be holding an amateur radio Special Event to honor the 74th anniversary of the first decryption of a wartime German Enigma message within 24 hours that took place during April, 1940, at "BP." The event will run from 0001 UTC until 2359 UTC on Saturday the 12th. We will be on SSB 7.250, 14.270, 21.400, and 28.450, depending on band conditions. For those Enigma World Code Group members who are not amateur radio operators, you can still participate. Find a local radio amateur in your neighborhood, and tell him about this Special Event. You can talk on his radio and try for a QSO (a contact with my station) as long as he is sitting there beside you. More details will be provided as the time gets closer. Hams, look for our Ham Ad in the March QST and our Special Event notice in the April QST.

We might be able to record some of the activity as the Special Event is in process. I'm not sure how frantic the pace might be, but we can try to grab some of it on a DVD. Bruce, N7CLH

Hello, Enigma World Code Group friends, Saturday at 0001 UTC signals the start of our Enigma ham radio Special Event. The frequencies listed previously are still good. Our partner station at Bletchley Park, GB3RS, will be on the air from 0600 to 1100 Mountain Daylight Savings Time. Check the spotter net to find-out what our exact frequencies are, which will depend on band conditions. We are hoping for some excellent participation from the ham radio community, so please pass the word to all of your friends. I'll be listening for you on Saturday! Bruce Culp, N7CLH

Good day, Myself and several ZS5 buddies from our local radio club in South Africa attempted to participate in the Special Event on 12th April but sadly nothing was heard and no contacts made on any of the frequencies listed in the various bands. Can anyone comment please relate their experiences in other areas. Perhaps N7E can comment. 73 - Brian ZS5SB

So nothing seriouse: www.dxsummit.fi/Search.aspxMuch better N7E: www.dxsummit.fi/Search.aspx
