Hello there! I created this new post to ask if you know someone who can make a replica of the Enigma machine. I found this version printed in 3D ( link) but it's very expensive, because with de fully version i must pay $2000. I would like one Enigma that is as close to reality as possible: with wood, metal/plastic parts and every detail. No need to really work (except the keyboard ) and doesn't have to be electronic parts like de Ebay version. Thanks in advance! Alex

If you are just after the look that 3D printed one or some that done the metal and wood part and put an electronic one inside would be your best bet. Dunno if enigmaworldcodegroup.freeforums.net/thread/54/nice-enigma-replica is something that you can buy but it sounds like it would work for you. I'm currently working on a electronic replica (http://lpaseen.blogspot.ca/2015/09/electronic-enigma-replica.html) and my price target is <$1000US for a complete one. Current state is that the first prototype is electrically correct and almost working but it's far from correct esthetically. I plan to make another one that looks way better but it will for example not have the letters on some replaceable wheels because then the cost will go away fast.

Your Enigma machine is like this Kickstarter project? Here: I was looking a replica like the one is selling in Ebay, but i don't find anyone for a good price. Did you say that you will do another more accurated. If will be perfect (not electronic part needed) I'm very interested to buy one. And more if the price is lower than $1000. Did you have photos or maybe a 3d model of the future enigma? Thanks.

My replica will be better at both look and function than the kickstarter one (in my opinion at least) and my plan is to put the pricetag below $1000us but until I made a more realistic looking one I don't know where the price will end. Pictures, progress etc can be found at lpaseen.blogspot.ca/2015/09/electronic-enigma-replica.html , just scroll to the bottom for latest updates.
