Time for another challenge
For first time readers
I was wondering about some way to get some more activity in this forum and I figured I can (depending on interest) do a monthly enigma challenge that you need to use some enigma knowledge/skills to do.
What you need:
An enigma: To even read the challenge you need some kind of enigma and since
very few of us are rich enough to have a real enigma we need something
cheaper. On internet it is many enigma simulators that can be used. One to
download is at
www.enigmaworldcodegroup.com/#!download-enigma-simulator/cq2m or
tinyurl.com/EWCGcq2m. An online version I like to use is at people.physik.hu-berlin.de/~palloks/js/enigma/enigma-u_v20_en.html.
A key: The codebook used for this message can be found at enigmaworldcodegroup.freeforums.net/thread/55/optional-2016-ewcg-codebook. Model to use is M3 with UKW B

If that procedure is to simple, here is a more challenge one - triton.
Since this forum comes from www.enigmaworldcodegroup.com I'm using the procedure at
www.enigmaworldcodegroup.com/#!encypting-kriegsmarine/c1xi2 or tinyurl.com/EWCGc1xi2
but since we already used that keysheet and bigram table from there we
need to use something else. If you go to tinyurl.com/EWCGtriton
you will get the two key sheets inner and outer. If you go all the way
to the end you find a button to get the bigram table also or just click
on enigma.lpaseen.com/bigramTable.php?seed=946878907 to get
same.
I attached keysheet and bigram table here also.
You can change the output format if you want, the key setting for that
year/month will be the same as long as the keywords are unchanged.
