Thanks to the help of Arnaud, I have finally solve my issue with the [EWCG2018] codesheets and simulator strecker board setup.
Here begins the message thread I wanted to start. Please reply using the [EWCG2018] codesheet with the day's code. If you have interesting facts to share about travelling to Berlin or Germany, or anything related to the Enigma, I'll be eager to read you!

Dirk's simulator is set to do 4 letter groups versus 5 letter groups. You can set up the number of groups per line but not the number of letters per group.
Mauser sends.

Well, I must say that these pics are interesting. I love the way they "forgot" a cleaning brush in the NEMA' s keyboard (I think) and a bolt nut in the cables of the Enigma plugboard. as far as this message (below) is concerned [EWCG2018] 2030 1tle 1tle 196 GNG HME AMSIB KRPZ ZZRG AQPB WTXW KEPJ KFDZ CZGX OIJD AQFD LQDF CBQV MLQE JTRU SEAM JBXI IYGM IWNP GCMG NKNZ OJLH QOPI CSXC DOJV VXDD OLSF DPEG OEFU TEFB FQRT VRHC KTLK QDPD NUMA AGMJ BGDB MDOX CJKQ JLKN CTEP PDDJ CBHL CCYN DRZK RKEX YXCN ZDZL MYFB VFG I believe a little mistake was made when plugging the Steckerboard...you only used 9 pairs (IV JT LM CK BD GF PR QX AW). Given these pairs, the rest is standard procedure.

[EWCG2018] (using the beta ring at position A01 on the left as I do not know what else I should do. It is not indicated in the codesheet. If you know, please help me!) Ok, if beta ring is not indicated in the code sheet, you need to use either Wehrmacht M1 (3 rotors to choose from 5 wheels with numbers) or Kriegsmarine M3 Enigma (3 rotors to choose from 8 wheels with letters). In case of Kriegsmarine M4 (4 rotors to choose from 8 wheels + two special wheels (Beta end Gamma) with numbers), the Beta end Gamma wheels are indicated on the codesheets. But all this does not matter much because, unlike most things nowadays (ie mobile phones, my PS4..), the Enigmas were retro-compatible. The Kriegsmarine M3 is compatible with the Wehrmacht as long as you only use wheels 1 through 5 (obviously)
Kriegsmarine M4 is compatible with M3. In case of reflector B, use Beta on A...in case of reflector C, use Gamma on A to make the M4 compatible with M3.
So, an M4 with the right Beta or Gamma ring and using only wheels 1 through 5 is totally compatible with an old M1.
Hope it makes it clearer
