I don't know if anybody is interested but I have an idea for a game. the way it could would work is we split in to groups for our country and of those groups we have cells, the cells would send/post encrypted messages for everyone to see, then send privately the information to decrypt the message to the intended recipient. now to make it so everyone has a chance to break the code someone from the cells would be a traitor and give information to other cells. if you have any ideas to make this better or how to make it work leave a post
I would love to play chess or another suitable game via email/enigma. But I'm afraid that my time is limited. If you want we can give it a try. Also I would be interested in your game buzztham1989. Also here I'm affraid that technician275 is right. Not enough traffic. I you need a hand or want to try or test something please let me know via pm. and I see what I can do.
I have to agree with the traffic level, hard to get people activated (me included). However - to get some more activity I was thinking a little. I did think about why I'm not more active despite I would like to be and the simple answer to my self is that it's to complicated. To get involved it's a lot of steps and while that create realism it also works as a hinder to get started. I'm thinking that maybe we can do have a entry level path of some kind, one that's not that complicated to do and exchange messages that way. I'm thinking maybe use a M3 or M4 key of the day or even a static key, some special tag and then just send messages. Once that is going maybe more people join and finds the motivation to get more advanced.
To get started - here is a simple message from the userguide of meinenigma. To make it even simpler it included all key settings and don't use message key or anything like that: • Model: M4 • Reflector: UkwC thin • Rotors: G,8,2,4 • Plugboard: BM CJ DP FW GY HR IK LN OT VZ • Ring stellung: ECVZ • Start: JHEV Message: TAHI HTIZ JGSJ VHBV OIRQ EFIO BRND PUKS ZVHZ FXMB WEAQ VNDC You should get a short english sentence starting with CON.

nice idea about keeping it simple, maybe a link to a video for beginners, I know I had troubles when starting. How about we use the key file if we use "Dirk Rijmenants" Enigma Simulator. post the key file along with the message!! regards
