Hello to all,
I am new to this group and the Enigma. I am intested in setting up an exchange of messages for the fun of it with anyone of the same interest. I am a Ham Radio operator currently building a paraset radio that was used in WW2 by field agents to send and receive messages. Hope there are others that might enjoy this for the fun of it. Hope to hear from as many of you as possible. Lets get something going.

Would that be radio messages or enigma messages ? If Enigma you could start with doing the The Enigma Challenge and then enter some enigma encrypted text here. If Radio - this is probably not the best place to get any QTC

fra366 You are now familiar with the #EWCG2016 code books. Do write a message when you have a chance. Somebody will get back to you.

Surfacing to send/receive messages. [EWCG2016] PIE DAY CRUZX CJWBX VJTFN BPKEP CXWMC GLKQV RZVQA SNHXC ODHVE RUDJH KLXFY CXVTW OQSUP LNSMV VITHJ GMIST And a slightly more challenging one. You are going to need Palloks universal enigma for this one. UHR=37 [EWCG2016] SET UHR GNI UMMHR HEAHL WJZJO RGJXA GXSWM YHCIJ MLDCN TFDOP HLWEL VKGRA AXNLX ZBRYD KUCGI UTQNT IJQEQ WZWGN FQCRD FLTFF CJONW RTYAC HKMPH KHVHO BPQSK XJQMZ MBAWT [Edited to add decryption notes:] This message was meant to introduce the UHR switch, but the encoding procedure is not correct, notice the UHR setting is given in clear text. To decrypt this message only, set the machine to 03/14/2016 settings and the UHR to 37, change the wheels to SET, type GNI to get the message key. Change the wheels to the message key and start decrypting from HEAHL. A more correct procedure is listed here: enigmaworldcodegroup.freeforums.net/post/239[EWCG2016] SET CLK ZJAXX VPYJQ ZYRWV WMRGE XVHAO IJDMZ ULZZP DASDC KFZFF To decode the message above, keep the machine set to 03/14/2016, verify that ZJA is a valid group for that day, ignore the XX. Start with the Uhr switch set to 0. Change the wheels to SET, type CLK, note the message key. Change the wheels to the message key. Start decrypting from VPYJQ one letter at a time. Two digits will emerge. Once two full digits are spelled out ie: (two nine), stop, change the Uhr to that setting and keep typing the rest of the message. All the codebooks referenced here can be downloaded at: enigmaworldcodegroup.freeforums.net/thread/55/optional-2016-ewcg-codebook

Going to have to work a little on the other message. I have never seen or used the other simulator. Nice challenge!

I checked my setting several times. Not sure what I'm doing wrong as I'm not able to decrypt your message.
