Found out about another enigma replica on ebay - www.ebay.com/itm/332035699091Dunno any german but google translate tells me it's "based on research of German students, supported by Fraunhofer Institute. They built the first ENIGMA model."

Cool find! It is a strange looking device. What is up with those raised rotors. It seems the left rotor is a settable reflector and the release button on the side of the unit must be pushed prior to turning it. It is not clear what turns and how the rotor stepping works.

It's a lot of questions around how it works. 4 rotors but only 3 letter rings, no plugboard. How do you configure it ? Does those knobs close to the end of the rotors have a function (under the cover) ? Why is "location" Spain when everything else is in german? Well, I'm not going to buy it just to see that so I guess we never get any answers.

Sent a message to seller, got a pic back from the manual but so low res I can't read it. Did just managed to see that it was in english and a single page with top half being enigma background and bottom half instructions how to use it.

I was promised a better pic today, got nothing and I see now the listing has ended, no hint on why but I know it was 24 days left yesterday so it's not because of that. It's a nice looking one, just sad we can't get more info about it.
