How did you get on with the second code - there seem to be too many characters. Is punctuation coded ?

Walzenlage: III - I - II Umkehrwalze: B Ringstellung: S B E or 19 2 5 Steckervernindungen: LD ER FA S Grundstellung: ? ? ?

You may have gone through this, but here's my thoughts looking at this.
Arn't steckervernindungen settings in pairs? Or is the 'S' not part of it? From what I see, I'm guessing the grundstellung is unimportant. From the settings here, I would guess a Wehrmacht 3 rotor machine.
Steckervernindungen: Is there more, or is there some implied information from, or about, the challenge or challenger?
The encryption key: It does not look like it's was supplied. Again, is there some implied information? Maybe the challenger's initials? I have some code that could brute force it, but if the steckervernindungen is incomplete, it might take a LONG time. 26*25*26*20*19*18*17*16*15*14*13*12*11*10*9*8*7, assuming a full set of 10 patches, of which we only have 3. About 5.7 * 10^19 combinations, if I'm reading the situation correctly.
Did they provide other information or hints?
